Staff Predictions: Idaho vs. Montana State 3/7/18

Meredith Spelbring

Meredith Spelbring, Idaho — 86, MSU — 79

Idaho had no troubling handling the Bobcats the first time around and when the stakes are even higher, the Vandals will step up their game for a repeat performance.

Chris Deremer

Chris Deremer, Idaho — 84, Montana State — 75

I think it’s going to take a little while for the Vandals to get rolling, but eventually will pull out their first win of the tournament. Idaho 84 Montana State 75

Brandon Hill

Brandon Hill, Idaho — 78, Montana State — 69

The Vandals put in the work this season to earn the No. 2 seed. Montana State, while competitive, doesn’t quite have the firepower to upset the Silver and Gold.

Jonah Baker

Jonah Baker, Idaho — 80, Montana State — 64

Idaho should come out firing after having time to adjust after a scare against Southern Utah. Don’t be surprised if Idaho manages to completely stifle a struggling Montana State offense.

Colton Clark

Colton Clark, Idaho — 77, MSU — 70

Anchored by their conference award winners in Ferenz, McCorkell and Pierce, Idaho’s offense will stand its ground against MSU.

Clay McKinley

Clay McKinley, Idaho — 84, Montana State — 70

Idaho hasn’t played their best basketball in the last 4 games. That being said the Vandals understand how important this tournament is and will come out excited and win this matchup.

Hannah Aáliyah Goertz, Idaho — 78, Montana State — 62

Idaho always manages to make a great comeback and that is exactly what will happen when Montana State tries to rifle them up. Montana will come out strong, but Idaho will come out on top.

Zack Kellogg, Idaho — 76, Montana State — 75 Idaho will come out slow, being down by double digits at halftime. They will manage to come back late and win a close game.
